Personal Goals for the Position:
1. Increase the presence of physical therapists on committees, boards, organizations, etc related to the aging adults
2. Increase member involvement in the Section on Geriatrics at both state and national level
3. Develop tools to help clinicians and academicians prepare students and entry level therapists to work with the aging adults
4. Promote physical therapists as the experts on exercise in relation to challenging the aging adult
Research Area of Geriatric Interest:
1. Balance issues related to falls, use of contemporary games such as Wii, and related to use of functional outcome tests
2. Cognition relationship to balance and function
3. Use of technology in intervening with the aging adults

My personal goal for my position as Treasurer is to promote financial stability and plan for growth to allow the AGPT to achieve their goals. Financial management and planning is essential to ensure we can operationalize the support for current programs and initiatives to move the profession of physical therapy forward to serve the growing geriatric population.
